Richard (Rick) F.Cornell, Esq.

Biography

Mr. Cornell is an attorney who practices appellate law, primarily criminal, writs, and domestic issues.  He graduated with a BA from the University of California Irvine in 1974 and received his law degree from the University of San Francisco in 1977.  He opened his own practice, the Law Offices of Richard F. Cornell, in Reno in 1986.  Mr. Cornell sang with Nevada Opera between 1997 and 2014; and with the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America between 1975 and 1990.  While with Nevada Opera, Mr. Cornell sang comprimario roles such as Don Giovanni (ll Commendatore), La Boheme (Alcindoro), La Traviata (Baron Douphol), HMS Pinafore (Dick Deadeye), The Midado (Pish-Tush), The Pirates of Penzance (Samuel) and Trial by Jury (The Usher).  He is also a published novelist (“I Am that Fool”, published in 2014).  Mr. Cornell is currently a member of P’Opera!.  He has been a resident of Reno since 1980.
